There is a soaring demand for ESG investments in developed countries. Yet, capital is still not reaching sustainable development projects in developing markets. The UN has estimated that there is a USD2.5 trillion annual funding gap for SDG investments in developing countries. Among the biggest barriers for investments are the underdeveloped private market in developing countries and investors’ lack familiarity and risk mitigation instruments in these markets.
Investure is addressing these investment barriers, with a mission of bridging the SDG funding gap. In doing so, Investure is directly contributing to SDG Target 17.3: Mobilize additional financial resources for developing countries from multiple sources.
SDG contribution is also a key selection criteria for the fundraisers on our platform. UNDP Impact Standards is used to measure and manage the social and environmental impact.
